Your body is weak from the crash and you feel the need to rest to build up your strength. You set up camp underneath a towering brown structure decorated with green accents stemming from the edge of its appendages. "Nothing like the plants back home", you sigh. You feel uneazy as you've set up camp far away from the humming stone structure, but can still hear, and feel faint viberations. Just before you start dwelling deeper into the thought, hundreds of small yellow projectiles are darting at you. You feel pricks and pins exit and enter your body along with an intense burning senstation. Your exhaustion takes the best of you. "There is no hope", you think to yourself as your body begins to smell immensly and your vision fades to black.
[[Play Again?|Untitled Passage]]As soon as you enter the light, the creatures are startled and two shriek in horror as they run away. They yell in horror in a toungue you are unfamiliar with but the message is clear, they are scared of you. Just then you hear a loud BANG from your right side, as you fall to the gravel, dead.
[[Play Again?|Untitled Passage]]A jolt runs through your body at a speed you are unable to comprehend through concious thought the instant that you grab the fence. You fall to the dirt, lifeless.
[[Play Again?|Untitled Passage]]The light of the stars fades away as a low rumbling beneath your feet begins to catch your attention, just as you notice this a loud wailing fills your ears, stabbing knives into your brain. You panic and turn around as you see a metallic beast sailing down the tracks in your direction. You need to move!
[[Jump left]]
[[Jump right]]
[[Duck down]]You follow the tracks until you come across some large metal structures with wheels siting on the metal, rusted and abandoned.
It's obvious that the inhabitants of this planet use them as a means of transportation but you're unsure of why these ones seem to no longer be in use. One seems to already be open and still.
A strong, wild smell is nearby off of the tracks and demands attention.
[[Continue forward down the tracks]]

(if: $key is false)[[Investigate the mysterious smell]]You attempt to lay flat on the tracks as the metal beast charges towards you. A fatal mistake. You notice there is not enough clearence to safetly duck beneath the behemoth, and before you can move your body out of the way, you are struck headfirst by its massive frame, lifeless.
[[Play Again?|Untitled Passage]]You immediately feel a deep searing pain in your abdomen and you are now unable to breath.
An impossible regret overtakes you and you cough up the berries until completely breathless, dead in the dirt.
[[Play Again?|Untitled Passage]]The sounds from earlier leave you disappearing into the starlight, you hear a constant "creaking" from the wooded area surrounding you and you begin to grow famished from the walking. Just as this thought crosses your mind you come across a plant with small bright red fruits no bigger than the stones beneath your feet.
[[Eat a handful of red berries]]
[[Continue on, hungry]]Following the rusted tracks you make your way to a populated area towards some sort of civilization. you reach an intersection in the tracks where the path becomes overgrown with unfamiliar flora. at the same time an unfamiliar and delightful sound is coming from your right side
Continuing forward surely means safety, but at the expense of not quenching your curiosity.
Taking a right detour will potentially explain the unique sounds fuilling your head.
[[Forward through the tracks]]
[[Right detour towards the sound]]Following the tracks, metal rusted from exposure to the elements and wood cracked and dried, showing its age you spot an overgrown and unmarked path to your left as you walk.
Directly ahead seems to be an endless stretch of track lit only by the waxing crescent and sparsly spaced stars
There is a low humming coming from your right but your unable to see through the thick woods to recognize the scource
[[Investigate left pathway]]
[[Head right towards the humming]]After walking through some trees, stepping over stones and brush, you come across a large stone structure next to a still body of water. surrounding the structure is a large metal fence.
[[Climb fence]]
[[Walk around structure]]
(if: $orb is not true)[[Go West]]following the overgrown forest you discover an abandoned campsite. You come across what looks to be a fire pit and cut down trees surrounding the site. In the center is an abondoned basket and a canvass bag.
[[investigate fire pit]]
[[search canvas bag]]
[[Go Back|Go West]]You delve deep into the frigid, dark cart in hopes of finding something useful. All you see are the four rusted walls and small metalic odds and ends scattered across the floor.
[[Look deeper]]
[[Go Back|Continue on, hungry]]As you step away from the tracks a lighting flash of white appears at your feet and a distinct weak screach comes from a small animal before you. It sprays at you and blinds you with a discusting aroma. You're unable to see!
[[Try to find water to clear your vision]]
[[Wait out the pain and blindness]]You jump left as your body unconciously commands you to avoid the beast. You start unavoidably tumbling down what seems to be an endless ravine, battered and bruised. You can't move your body and lay desolute on the ground, knowing there will be no help to save you.
[[Play Again?|Untitled Passage]]Just in the knick of time, you launch yourself out of harms way. You do end up rolling down a steep sloped hill in the process, but walk away with only minor damage. You hear a faint humming sound off in the distance.
[[Head right towards the humming]]The instruments that are held harmonize and ooze into one another, creating a sound unlike anything you've heard before.
[[Go Back|Right detour towards the sound]]You exit the tracks and are met with a flood of warm lights and movement. There seems to be creatures standing on two legs just like you. One of them appears to have a long, hollow pole clutched to their front appendages.
[[Aproach the creatures]]
[[Keep your distance and listen]]
[[Turn back around|Go East]]You run into a random direction and lucky enough, realize you stepped in a shallow brook. You flush your many eyes out with the cold, refreshing water and are already feeling better. Just as you get up to leave, you notice a glimmering object on the river bed.
[[Inspect further]]
[[Leave it|Continue on, hungry]]You attempt to wait out the pain and blindness, but you quickly notice that you are losing strength and becoming weaker. You can tell your body is shutting down quickly as you collapse onto the ground. How could this be?, you think to yourself. How can there be such dangeorus fauna in a single planet.
Right as you pass out from the pain, you see the black and white stripped creature once more passing throuhg your field of vision.
[[Play Again?|Untitled Passage]]There are no openings in the fence but you find a sign with an electric bolt and a skull, a clear indicator of an inherent danger of touching the structure. You look past the structure and can see glowing lights.
[[investigating the light]]
[[Allow yourself to sleep]]
As you turn through charcoal and metal bits unable to be burned, a sound directly behind you catches your attention. The instant you begin to turn around the weight of the world falls on your chest. A foreign mammal stands above your, covered in fur. The animal opens its jaw and envelopes you in the wet darkness of its maw. Your conciousness slips away in an instant.

You follow the lights and they gradually become brighter. You soon realize that you are entering one of the planet's many settlements. You become increasingly caucious as you have no knowledge of how the native species will react to you. You see a large, flat object with foreign text on it.

--CRASH!
Your spaceship has crashed into what seems to be still water on a cool summer night.
The air is crisp and the light escapes you as you try to get your bearings.
Pieces of your spacecraft float though the water further and further away, swallowed by the abyss of the deep blue. Above you is a large wooden structure bridging two bodies of land. (trestle)
[[Go East]]
[[Go West]]You cannot read this for you are not of this world, but luckily you packed an extra universal language decoder with you on this trip.
The sign reads, "Welcome to Norwood, NY".
[[Go Back|investigating the light]]You work up your courage and continue henceforth and spot a strucutre glowing with flourecent lights. You observe it from a distance and make it out to be some sort of market place, similar to the ones back on your planet. Your spirits are raised as this gives you hope they might sell parts to fix your spaceship, and thus, salvation.
[[Walk into market]]
[[Sneak through back door]]You walk straight into the market with no hesitation. You are sick of this planet and its inhabitants. You strut right into the foyer of the mart. You make eye contact with what appears to be the shopkeeper. You instantly notice that he looks very strange for a human, and is, in fact, uglier than you are. He raises no suspecion about your appearance as he probably mistakes you for an ugly inhabitant. You look around the shop.
[[Open cryogenic storage]]
[[Talk to shopkeep]]You hatch a covert plan to sneak through the back and steal what you need without raising suspecion. You make your way to the back entrance. Just as you open the door, you accidently step on a metal bucket. The alien (from your perspective) is instantly alarmed and triggers the security alarm. Before you now it, you are swarmed by dozens of aliens in colloborating uniforms. Days turn to weeks as you are brutually torchered for research by these creatures until eventually one day, you slip into eternal darkness.
[[Play Again?|Untitled Passage]]You reach for a handle of the cryogenic storage unit that are embedded into the walls of the shop. Your 7 eyes suddenly become bigger than your head as you realize you hit the jackpot. Pallets and pallets of Diet Coke-a-cola are stocked within the cryo storage. Everybody knows Diet Coke is your galaxies most preferred fuel source. You have no time to comprehend why the inhabitants of this planet store spaceship fuel inside such a dingy shop. Regardless, you purchase their entire stock and head back outside.

[[Go Back|Walk into market]]You have collected all necessary components to rebuid your ship. You toil furocioulsy throughout the night in hopes of departing before daybreak, for that is when you will be most vulnerable to detection.
You repair the ship right before the break of dawn and begin to fly away.
You take one last look at the planet beneath you, and let out one last sigh of relief.
You are finally going home.
